Eh… kinda. Chicago is like this starting at the river and down to Jackson Street, but the rest of Chicago is slightly different.
[This is Lakeview, and one of the densest neighborhoods.](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-sGnyU4SGrHE/UqUdPNWe2JI/AAAAAAAAK_Q/0mbhXc_rTKY/w1185-h889-no/IMG_20131208_151754.jpg) (As shot from the Belmont Stop on the Red/Brown line)
[And this is Ravenswood](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-JIgPKOSTjhE/UoFiVlAnSQI/AAAAAAAAKgE/TH9Cdx_98Lg/w667-h889-no/IMG_20131111_162920.jpg) (and [my block from my back patio](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/–75y2qD86k0/Ut9jLIv88DI/AAAAAAAAMDI/LiAYJyt2gc4/w1598-h374-no/PANO_20140102_130008.jpg), facing the alley). I live in one of the quieter, safer neighborhoods in Chicago (not too far from the mayor’s house).
It’s dense, but it’s not SKYSCRAPER dense.
