this is true, but you are also leaving out tons of freedoms and rights that we did obtain that year. we went from being a colony of a tyranny to a democracy. we got the right to free speech, vote, bear arms, and many many others. even though certain things like the right to vote were denied to the parties you listed above, it’s not like they could do any of that before 1776. you can argue that the women, natives, and blacks weren’t free and i would agree. but are they free today? i would argue they aren’t equal in things like job opportunities, education, environment. All of this takes away from their freedom. But we were more free in 1776 than we were in 1775.
